• To review all the comments left by all yall about the site and the show:

    • Podcast more often (once a month minimum)
    • Podcast by myself if necessary (good to remember)
    • More music reviews
    • More content on the website

Now onto the good news, Josiah’s coming over on Wednesday evening and we will be recording a two part show. I have set up, prior to your comments, to podcast more often… at least twice a month if not more.

The site will also be changing shortly to be more directed to independent music. My personal writings and photography will be moved to a sub-site for anybody interested. Up The Tree will be all about music, the creative arts, podcasting, and other dorky things.

All of this sort of leads into my new years resolutions… which you will have to tune into the next cast to hear.

Now who’s ready for Up the Tree in 2006… god knows I am!

  • Haaaaaaa-ppppppy Newwwwwww-Yeeeeeearrrrrrr!

Eh, well enough of that malarky. Yes I’m back. After my home computer crapping out on me and a complete system reinstall it looks like the podcast gravy-train can once again saddle-up.

I met up with Josiah on New Years and he is itching to get back into the copilot’s seat.

2006 promises to be an interesting year full of surprises.

Got a sweet microphone for christmas to do live interviews with and a new lens to take lovely photographs of bands with, all thanks to Funtime Diane.

Most of all I hope to be more regular in 2006… with podcasting I mean, now while I’m in the mood, what suggestions do you guys have for the show?

  • Joy to the world, my train has come…

Yadda, yadda, yadda… trains are great… Yadda, yadda, yadda.

  • Well it’s all over. The strike is all but a fading memory in the collective sigh of New Yorkers everywhere.

I for one am particularly pleased, as my bicycle’s gear broke halfway through brooklyn today on my morning commute. Far more disturbing, was the story of an off duty firefighter who was struck on his morning commute.

I am very grateful to have the transit workers back on the job and will make sure to thank them everyday, although Diane has always done so… I guess it’s an important lesson for everybody.

Anyway, as you can imagine it’s going to be a little tough to get out a full podcast to you all this month, but I will put a little something together for christmas!

Hope you are all having a lovely holiday season!

Back home after one hell of a commute. Although all went smoothly, I’ve decided to see how I fare biking all the way in tomorrow. On of my friends John biked from our neighborhood all the way to midtown in an hour! It took me 2 hours and I had a ride part way…

I’m really hoping that this thing will be called off by morning, but I really don’t think the union is going to be making any concessions anytime soon. I just really hope that by next Monday all this is sorted out and everybody is back to work… although if the transit workers aren’t happy with the deal, I’m afraid of the commuting consequences.

Okay, I have to get ready for tomorrow’s bike ride in… we’ll se how it goes… Good night all.

“We will go to binding arbitration only over the dead bodies of our leadership,” -Roger Toussaint

That can be arranged Mr. Toussaint!

    4:08 PM

Just saw a homeless man outside the Duane Reade Pharmacy on 14th and Union Square West, listening to a CD player with noise canceling headphones… Does everyone make more than me?!

    11:59 AM

You know what’s worse than commuting in the cold wearing long johns, your parts tucked into your socks, and a dorky sparkly red bike helmet?

Getting seen by your ex-girlfriend and her coworker, in a blue Acura, on the way to work in given outfit.

    9:48 AM

Getting was easy, but the bike over was soooo cold! I’m going to hit up the sports store at lunch and buy some new warmer gloves and insulated socks!

    Transit strike must have items!

    6:30 AM

Still a strike, still it sucks, still dark out and still it’s 25 degrees out. Brrrrrrr!

My house is freezing this time of the morning!
