Up the Tree
About
There are a lot of things about me that you probably want to know. Unfortunately I know me so I don’t know what’s interesting to you, so I thought I would write down a list of things off the top of my head, based purely on what I can remember about myself. General I was born in Spanish Harlem in 1977 I went to public school all my life I was breast fed My mother is German and father is English They got married in the 70?s England in jeans I was adorable as a child I was a fat kid I am dyslexic I am artsy I have problems asking for what I want Things I love Burgers, except if you put them on an English Muffin. Fuck you too buddy. I prefer beer to just about every other alcoholic beverage, let’s not get fancy here people Music that sounds like the person singing it isn’t pretending they can sing Blunt honesty. Tell me what you’re thinking, guaranteed I’ll make fun of it. Weird English comedies. The Goon Show? yup. I dig incoherent ramblings. Relationships that don’t work. Right?! How much do I love these! Comedy. Got into improvisation…
Archives
I started writing in this weblog after I graduated from college. I heard about blogs from my then grilfriend, who introduced me to the exquisite time wasting activity. The blog was on Blogger and then called Fun Time Tree House where I gained the nickname Funtime Ben. I now have two blogs, this one and Improvoker.com. Going back through the archives I’m amazed at how hilarious I thought my writing was. It’s wordy, overbearing, and often gramatically incorrect, but it was where I was at 24 so I guess it’s a part of me. You may also notice some strange characters in the body of posts. Things like “Hi there”:http://google.com That’s because of an old formatting system Wordpress used to use in the olden days called textile. I’ve been going through the archives and getting rid of it, but there is still a lot of it left, so pardon that as well. Welcome to my time machine, hope you enjoy.
