A Letter to George

Dear George,

I would appreciate it, if you wouldn’t go to “war tomorrow”:http://www.nytimes.com/2003/03/17/international/17CND-NATI.html. I would very much like to see peace and harmony among the citizens of the world. I know we haven’t seen eye to eye as of late, but I think if you could just take a “Valium”:http://www.observer.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,722395,00.html, you might see that this war would be huge mistake.

It didn’t work for your dad and really, it wont work for you. War is not some guaranteed way of boosting the economy. In order for a war to make the economy grow strong, you must have citizens that believe in the cause, which you don’t. World War II was different, we had a real enemy with actual blood on it’s hands and we had real leaders who could rally a nation, George you couldn’t rally a _Nissan Stanza_ full of Republicans.

I know we haven’t seen eye to eye recently and if you go to war I promise I will never invite you to another dinner party again.

So George, please reconsider your war before you make a huge mistake.

Your citizen,
_Funtime Ben_

unfortunately, the dow soaring 300 points today won't help convince him of anything. however, i do like the the iraqi foreign minister's response was to tell bush that *he* should step down. heh.
